Descend to the Underworld & explore the mysteries of Persephone in the Temple of Baal, one of the most spectacular of the Jenolan Caves.

Your journey to the Underworld begins as you follow Hecate’s light leading you down the long dark tunnel of the Binoomea Cut. From there, you descend the Dragon’s Throat down a long winding staircase & enter the bejewelled Temple of Baal.

The Temple of Baal features the largest shawl in the Jenolan Caves hanging over tiny delicate sparkling crystal helicites in translucent white & blue flowering from fiery formations in brillant shades of orange & caramel.

Cost: $130 early bird (before 26 May 2021) $150 thereafter.
Time 2.30 pm Saturday 26 June 2021
Place: The Temple of Baal, Jenolan Caves.

The Temple of Baal Cave is difficult to navigate for people with mobility issues. There are 288 steps. The steps are steep and may be damp and slippery. The ritual is therefore a drug and alcohol free event.

The event starts at 2.30 pm will finish around 5.00 pm so you can drive home afterwards, however Jenolan Caves offers a range of accommodation.
