SUMMARY:The Australian Wiccan Conference 2017 (AWC 2017)
DESCRIPTION:Come to The Australian Wiccan Conference 2017 and indulge in th
 e wonders of summoning\, invocation\, magic\, and the numinous. Celebrate 
 a Witches' Sabbat\, honour the Gods and explore the Mysteries. Expand your
  repertoire of spell-crafts as you interact with like-minded pagans and wi
 ccans in a bushland setting\, south of Sydney. The AWC is a residential ev
 ent where attendees must pre-register and pre-pay. Bookings close 18th Aug
 ust\, 2017. See website for details.\n\nThis year's AWC will delve deeply 
 into the history\, ritual use\, methods and personal stories of summoning 
 and invocation with the theme of "To Summon\, Stir and Call Thee Up". The 
 lectures\, discussions\, presentations\, panels and workshops on offer hav
 e been grouped into four main streams of study. These are:\n\nApproaches T
 o Paganism\nThis stream explores the different ways in which we may approa
 ch our practices. It will examine some of the different meanings\, folklor
 ic aspects\, iconography\, secrecy and personal experiences of different p
 ractitioners and paths. See Workshops...\n\nMagic and Spell Crafting \nFro
 m making magical objects to pinpointing the perfect time to perform a ritu
 al\, this stream focuses on some of the more practical aspects of our path
 s. Some objects created in the workshops will be used in the Main Ritual.

  stream will draw upon their own ritual experiences and explorations to pr
 ovide information and discussion around enhancing ritual practice and desi
 gn. Some of the techniques examined in this stream will be incorporated in
 to the Main Ritual. See Workshops...\n\nSummoning and Invocation \nA mix o
 f practical techniques and exercises that explore Summoning and Invocation
  across different paths and practices. This stream will also explore both 
 the history\, and modern depictions\, of Summoning and Invocation. Attende
 es may get the opportunity to put some of their newly-learnt techniques in
