Lifestyles is a somewhat different approach to discussing
Paganism in Australia. Whilst it is Relevant to discuss
Pagan and Heathen spirituality and beliefs, we are most
interested in their application to living in the Society
around us. How do we as Pagans and Heathens, shamans and
witches, magic practitioners etc, interact with our
society? How do our beliefs affect us in what we DO and
what we are? Provided that it is somehow relevant to
Paganism or Heathenism, any social topic is acceptable
including, social structures and family, expressions of
worship, magic, ethics, war, relationships, gender and
sexuality, yes even politics. The key focus of this group
involves intelligent discussion and respect! That means NO
flaming, NO intergroup politics, Discuss issues even
vigouously but leave personalities out of it.
Australian Pagan Reconstructionist.
Pagan Reconstructionism or 'Recon' for short is a methodology for
developing and practicing historical forms of Paganism in the modern
world. It begins from the twin assumptions that the religious expressions of
the ancients were meaningful in themselves, and that forms of religious
practice remain valid across time. In other words, if the religious methods
of our ancestors worked for them, then they can also work for us. If you have
ever felt an irresistible urge to explore the gods and myths of a particular
pre-Christian culture and to participate in the revival of their worship, you
may be heading towards Pagan Reconstructionism. Consequently you are welcome
to come and join the first Australian email group dedicated to exploring

non-sectarian, democratic and don't censor the viewpoints
presented here, we have the full and exclusive support of
many local elders and groups. You'll find a lot of very
knowledgeable people on this list! We pride ourselves on
being fun and friendly. Newbies and oldbies are all
welcome here. You are also welcome to just "lurk" and
listen to the conversations. We organise regular events
unique to this group (such as workshops, rituals, social
get togethers, etc), and this is a great networking and
learning/teaching opportunity. No one person is the
"leader" here, making us different from other local email
