Description: Encountering the Dark Goddess and Transforming Your Life

A one day workshop of personal transformation

Saturday, 26 May 2012 – 10.30am to 4.00pm

Following the Southern Samhain (the ancient Celtic festival of the Dead) and the May Dark Moon, you are invited to join us as we journey into the hidden depths of the Underworld. Here we will meet the Keeper of the Secrets and the Cauldron of Inner Knowledge, the Life Transformer, the Mover and Shaker, the Sorceress ... and all the other names by which the Dark Goddess has been referred to.

Facing our shadow, the inner aspects of ourselves that we hide from view and refuse to acknowledge, is often a very painful experience – but it is also necessary in order to liberate ourselves from the past and to embrace all what the future has install for us.

Through our own fear, we often ignore or misinterpret the Dark Goddess because it is She who reflects our own mortality – however, it is She who also guards the magickal Cauldron of Transformation.

Through ritual, myth and magick, we journey into these hidden depths together to face our shadows and open ourselves up to be transformed under the protective guidance of the Dark Goddess.

In this workshop you will:
• Journey into the Underworld where Lilith, the most often misunderstood Goddess, will provide insights into accepting your own self worth from the core of your being,
• Be confronted by the ultimate Dark Mother, Kali-Ma, who will assist you in clearing the stagnation from your life,
• The Egyptian lion headed Goddess, Sekhmet, who will encourage you to take control of your life and your own inner power,
• Dance the rhythm of life with the ancient Sumeria, the Death Goddess, Ereshkigal, as she holds up the mirror to your soul, and
• And finally, you will arrive before Baba Yaga, Slavic Crone, will offer you initiation into your own true self – if you are brave enough.
